Abortion is Healthcare

Women’s March Foundation has received a grant to cover the costs of Plan B for anyone who needs it and cannot afford it.

Plan B

We are excited and grateful to announce that Women’s March Foundation can immediately begin to pay the cost of emergency contraception for those who need it. Plan B One-Step is available without a prescription and is used to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex or following a contraceptive accident.

Plan B comes in a one-pill dose (levonorgestrel 1.5 mg). If taken within 72 hours (three days) and preferably within 12 hours of a contraceptive accident or unprotected sex, Plan B can prevent pregnancy.

Support + Resources

Even as we deal with the rage, grief, and shock of the overturning of Roe v. Wade, we must also begin to navigate the reality of the new United States.

Our Plan B program is just one way the feminist movement is coming together to provide care needed by the millions of people affected by new laws criminalizing abortion. There are many resources available, and we will do our best to help you navigate them.

Remember to always use and support vetted, established networks for healthcare decisions. Newly formed informal networks, offers to help from strangers, and thinly veiled codes like “camping” may do more harm than good. These may be covers for scams or put your privacy at risk.

 Some Trusted Resources:

  • INeedAnA.com: Find a clinic to access safe and legal abortion.

  • National Network of Abortion Funds: Donations here will be split between more than 80 vetted abortion funds.

  • WRRAP: An organization that covers the cost of abortion and contraceptives for those who cannot afford them, working with prequalified reputable clinics throughout the U.S.

Your support for any of these organizations will directly help people access the reproductive healthcare they need.
