United State of Women Summit 2018

On May 5-6, thousands of women will convene in Los Angeles to inspire and be inspired, to motivate and be motivated, to teach and to learn. Attendees will channel their energy into action, leave with new ideas and partners, hands-on training, and tools and resources to make change at all levels. May 5 will be held at the Shrine Auditorium, and May 6 will be at SKYLINE PENTHOUSE in DTLA. #USOW2018

9am-12pm: “Empowered Civic Engagement” training, organized by Women’s March LA

Learn how to actively engage in your community!

  • Lobby for community initiatives
  • Engage in local democratic environments
  • Re-invent the political process from its current form
  • Build power for a sustainable movement

1-4pm:  “Youth Voices Town Hall” session, organized by Women’s March LA

Following the March For Our Lives, student walkouts, and the inaugural National Youth Action Summit in Memphis, youth organizers and activists come together to embolden one another through dialogue and education on critical topics such as immigration, access to education, school to prison pipeline, and civic engagement, especially as it relates to youth involvement. This event is led by youth, and all allies and supporters are welcome to join this informative and engaging program to inspire young voices from all communities and build connections among fellow youth activists, allies, and organizations.

The program includes a National Town Hall in which leaders from around the country will be invited to join live and participate in panels, talkbacks, and more.
